Rumi Azim is a Ph.D. candidate at the Centre for International Trade and Development, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. Her research focuses on understanding the interaction between international trade and the environment from a microperspective, particularly the trade-induced within-firm mechanisms of the environmental impact of trade. She presented her preliminary work at the 27th Annual Conference of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists in 2022. She has been awarded a Junior Research Fellowship from University Grants Commission in India for her work. She holds BA and MA degrees in Economics from the University of Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University respectively. Prior to joining JNU, she worked as an Academic Associate at the Centre for Public Policy, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
