Peng Peng

Peng Peng is a PhD candidate in political science department, Duke University. She studies state building in China and other countries. Her dissertation is about state building in Qing China. The project examines how rulers can craft state administrations to respond to diverse challenges to their rule. In addition to Qing Dynasty, she examines the trajectory of state building in People’s Republic of China. Her other projects feature political competition and state building in Great Britain and Japan. Methodologically, she uses a combination of statistical methods and archival research.
