Zheng Chi is a Ph.D. candidate at Fudan University Law School. Before coming to Shanghai, he completed his LL.B. degree at China University of Political Science and Law and his LL.M. degree at Renmin University of China, where he served as a member of the editorial board of Chaoyang Law Review. He has published an article on Chinese legal history, as well as been awarded several honors and scholarships. He participated in Max Planck Summer Academy for Legal History 2019 in Frankfurt and delivered a speech on modern Chinese legal history. He was an official Fulbright nominee, but the program was terminated in China in 2020. His research interest includes legal history and legal education, especially about Nanjing National Government . During the Fox Fellowship period, he is making a comparative study of the Legal Education Committee established by the Ministry of Education in China and the China Legal Education Committee established in the United States, both in 1945, from the perspective of native legal nationalism and extraterritorial legal imperialism in modern China.
