Visiting Fellow

Talitha Ilacqua is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellow at Yale University and the University of Venice. She is working on a project on moderate liberalism in Mediterranean Europe in the first half of the nineteenth century, tentatively entitled “Age of Moderation: Liberal Patriotism in the Mediterranean, 1814-1848”. Prior to Yale, she studied at the University of Cambridge and at King’s College London, where she completed her PhD in 2020, and she was Deakin research fellow at the University of Oxford from 2020 to 2022. Her first book, entitled “Inventing the Modern Region: Basque Identity and the French Nation-State”, is forthcoming with Manchester University Press.
