Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant - Yoruba

Mariam Titilope Balogun, originally from the Ogun State in Nigeria, obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English studies from the University of Lagos. Before coming to Yale, she taught English and literature at the professional level for five years, in addition to teaching classes on the Yoruba language, arts, and culture. Apart from teaching, she has an interest in linguistic studies and research. During her free time, Mariam enjoys reading literature, writing, and going on picnics. She is also an orator.
