Daniel Quintanilla Castro

Daniel Quintanilla Castro is a graduate student at Yale Law School. His research focuses on the socio-legal history of 20th century Latin America, particularly on the formation of popular legal cultures, the history of social and economic rights, and the relation between revolution, social movements, and constitutions. Daniel graduated with a B.A. in Law from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico and is currently an LLM candidate at Yale Law School. Before coming to Yale, he worked at the Supreme Court of Mexico at the chambers of Justice Alfredo Gutierrez Ortiz Mena. He also co-founded ACTO, an NGO dedicated to fostering deliberative democracy in Mexico. Daniel also has professional experience in strategic litigation focused on human rights and in private practice.
